The town of Helensburgh is 20 miles west of Glasgow and 15 miles from Glasgow Airport. (40 mins drive). The town and the hotel are an ideal location for visitors to Glasgow, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. HM Naval Base Clyde is 5 miles from Helensburgh. Travelling by car to Glasgow takes about 50 minutes and there is a twice per hour train service. If you are planning to visit family or friends from HM Naval Base Clyde then you will have a short 15 minute drive and it will be on your left hand side along the seafront.Loch Lomond National Park is about 30 minutes by car, it is in Balloch and it also near the Loch Lomond retail outlets. The International Loch Lomond Golf Club, where Barclays Scottish Open Championships is played every year is only a short 15-20 minute drive away from where our hotel is situated.The famous West Highland Railway to Oban, Fort William and Mallaig is a must, along with a sail on the Waverley, the world's last seagoing paddle steamer. Loch Lomond and Loch Katrine also offer boat trips.
