Optional candlelit dinner extra.A new and very comfortable, beautifully refurbished bed and breakfast (BandB) guest house accommodation and rooms to rent in a unique detached family home in its own peaceful and private woodland garden and stream (an ancient smugglers' route ) very close to the Gareloch in Rhu, Helensburgh, near Faslane and Loch Lomond, Glasgow, Scotland.Rhu is a lovely conservation village, 5 minutes by car from both Helensburgh town centre and Faslane, and 15 minutes from the world renowned and beautifully romantic Loch Lomond.If you wish to visit Scotland, we are very well placed as a start point or end point for touring Scotland's stunning west coast and western isles. The Gareloch is very popular for water sports such as yachting. Rhu Marina is very close to us, as are two yacht clubs.We are also close to parts of The West Highland Way, an official long distance walking route 96miles (154km) in length, which runs along the eastern banks of Loch Lomond, and we're in an area that's very popular for cyclists.Faslane Naval Base is about 3.5 miles away towards Garelochhead; there is a half-hourly bus service, and we are only a very short walk to the bus route. There is an excellent regular direct train service to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Oban and Fort William, and we're 35 minutes by car from Glasgow Airport (GLA).The accommodation is our family home, which we love. We currently offer two newly refurbished rooms for bed and breakfast (BandB) or room let for longer term guest accommodation.We have two beautiful golden retrievers who relish adding to a very warm welcome!We have two guest rooms only, and they share a beautifully refurbished guest bathroom.There's ample parking within our own private secluded grounds.

Directions to Whistler's Dell from M81. If you are using Sat Nav, our postcode is G84 8NH (we don't have a house number).2. Cross the Erskine Bridge and follow signs for Helensburgh. 3. Once in Helensburgh, follow the shore road (A814) west to Rhu for about 2.5 miles (from clock towerinformation centre on Helensburgh's front). 4. Continue past the Marina on your left and a white hotel (the Ardencaple) on your right. 5. Shortly after the Ardencaple Hotel (0.7mile) you'll come to a sharp right hand bend in the road, where you'll see Rhu Church and the village green on your right hand side.6. Continue past the church for 0.3 mile: the road opens out again with the Gareloch on your LHS, and you'll see a 50 MPH sign as you go out of Rhu.7. 30 yards BEFORE the 50 MPH sign you'll see a name plate on the right hand grass verge saying Aldonaig. Turn right here into the first of 2 adjacent driveways separated by a low stone wall. 8. Follow this driveway round and keep left all the time. The tarmac drive will change into red chips after about 75yds. The name Whistlers Dell is on a post in the grass to the LH of the red chips. Follow the red chips in and here you are!
